Selected as one of a small number of U.S. experts to join a transatlantic delegation focused on water infrastructure innovation, hosted by the German-American Chamber of Commerce and funded by the European Recovery Program. Brian was chosen based on his leadership in Legionella risk reduction, hands-on water treatment experience in complex HVAC systems, and his dual role as both practitioner and educator.

As a delegate, he engaged directly with German utilities, technology developers, and municipal leaders in three federal states—North Rhine–Westphalia, Bavaria, and Baden-Württemberg—participating in strategic site visits and policy roundtables. His contributions focused on the application of U.S. best practices in system performance monitoring, corrosion control, and building-level water safety. The experience also deepened transatlantic collaboration in the areas of climate-resilient infrastructure, smart water systems, and energy-efficient treatment design.

Brian’s role in the delegation reinforced his position as a bridge between field operations and policy, offering practical insights into scalable, sustainable solutions for building owners, facilities teams, and water safety managers.
